well I have been messing around w/ ideas about what to do w/ the whole turbo manifold thing. I have stummbled upon something really big I think. I don't want to spoil anything but it may be easy for you guys to get a cheap turbo manifold real soon ;)

I'll keep everyone updated.

Have you seen this manifold?  Any thoughts on it or the company, they seem to have a good reputation with the Honda guys.  $600 doesn't seem too bad if it's well made, but if you've found something cheaper.....:)

yeah thats the only one I know of, I am working on something else though.  Its still w/ a pretty big name and would be a lot cheaper hopefully.

I bought a paxton 10:1 FMU.  I'll try to get some pics up but I don't own a digital camera so I'll have to borrow one.  I know I really need to get one ;)

What series do the Bimmers run in that are using the side exhaust. Was that first car driven by Boris Said?

what are you going to do about the M42's inherant lack of knock sensors?

thats really not a problem, although its a common misconception.

even if something happens to my engine due to the extra strain, I'll be building another m42 for high boost.  So I'll just have to hurry up and finish it if its not done.

That's where I'd be concerned.

No protection against predetonation.  Better run some good gas or some octane booster.  This will be your best friend!  :D

Turbos love Tolulene...   It's basically paint thinner.  You run it in the gas tank to avoid pinging (or your motor grenading!).

I have been talking to a few local companies about a turbo manifold lately.  HOPEFULLY we can get something going in the timeframe I have.  I am REALLY getting anxious for boost.  I just want to get it on now :(

Yeah but if you look at the older pics, it looks like he did turbo the m42.
