Good lookin' car there. BTW, who's eyes are those in your signature? Very beguiling. Are you a photographer as well as a mechanic?

What are  lhd and rhd ?

lhd = Left hand drive
rhd = right hand drive

Nice looking car(s)?! Would be nice to have room(and permission from the lovely mrs) for a spare car! :)

Hi
Now the pictures are back, we can see your car is lhd. Which is great for exhaust manifolds, so many options. I'm rhd and I think I'll have to get a custom one made. Bmw completely stuffed the exhaust manifolds for rhd, especially for e30. It would be so much easier without the steering column in the way.
Fabfabe exhaust manifold looks the best for rhd.
Cheers Rohan

December 2010/

Hi, i decided to work on the E36 steering rack. I have it since two years :P

I do not want to go into a full restoration as it would work fine.
I completely degreased, first with Acetone to try (not glop) and petrol F and the result is excellent.

I thought to plug all entries different hoses as well as the ends and the plate that carries the ref of the rack

Admire my beautiful painting cabin

I used two candles to set the rack

Hight temp blue and silver for hoses

Front hoses

Second coat

February 2011/

The front axle is down. As I started late Sunday I had not time to do the rear AR axle(Anyway, this week I'll get the front axle to the karscher to prepare it for painting).
I suspended the engine with a beam and two straps 650 Kgs (I think it's enough)
In addition we had a beautiful weekend compared to last one

You did a lot of work! I think downloading and posting the pictures with narrative was just as exhausting.:)
