Hi guys

My premium speakers sound really good might be another euro American thing. Spin them!

Norm fooling around in the back of an e30, get a room!
Be like having a f*** in a phone booth, mainly annoying!

Cheers Rohan

Canadian 318is checking in - my premium speakers also sound pretty damn good. Everyone is always surprised to hear that they are the original speakers. Much better than my buddy's new civic, but not quite as good as modern bmw stuff.

Rohan,
Im gonna have to inaugurate her somehow!!

Tim,
To be honest I never listened to them in the iS as I started stripping her bare the day I bought her.. Im just going by the horrid sound in the M3 so I figured Id buy new ones for the iS.. Maybe I will wait and see how they sound first...

Hi Norm

I've noticed a lot of e30s having the battery in the boot, is that usual over there?

Cheers

Well its standard across the line as far as I know for NA cars.. Seems all euro/world models have have them in the engine bay as standard but every e30 I know here has them in the boot.. my M3 included..

On a historical note: it was actually a dealer option to have the battery in the boot as it shifted 20kgs of weight rearward getting the car closer to that perfect 50/50 weight distribution - probably more of a selling point for those nose heavy 6 cylinder models..  :P

PS,
Its getting really cold here - can I come over to your garage to play??  ;D

Cheers,
Norm

It was an option here too, but it is still quite rare. Every e30 I see from your continent has it though.

Ps:- Yes Norm Of course you can, but what about Jay Vee?
It's quite a nice temperature here at the moment. Average mid 20 deg c.

Done see you soon! ;D
I'll get a bedroom ready, which one north or south?
Fyi On this side of equator sun rises on north.

Pps:- As 30 kg is the maximum language weight, I'd start dieting now!!! :P

Im an early riser so north it is!

I wont be able to diet down to 30kg so Jay-Vee will just have to pay the excess weight charge...  He's young and newly married - he wont mind!! :)

Yep Jay Vee won't mind a bit, maybe you have his wife's seat as she would be lighter than you? :-[

Haha yeah you're dreaming about being able to afford those excess weight charges.... - you're down to hanging onto the wing, buddy... :-p
Then again I could swap you with the missus lol.
Although 40 deg yesterday, 41 today - you'd have to be as crazy as I am to go to Montreal this time of year 0_o

Sexy Pistons you got there.
You also better be careful with those whisperings of 'another e30'... sounds like your E30-osis is flaring up again.
