Hmm..That M3 looks a bit tired beside the iS... maybe I'll pull the engine and get her on a rotisserie .... I wonder if she'd be nice in black and how much a carbon fiber intake costs.......

Fantastic work, Norm. It looks incredible and I bet it drives even better.

Its been great following you along the way, especially coming halfway round the world and meeting you and the project in person!
I'll be back in March too, so I'd love to come see the finished product.

In the meantime I think I'll keep using this thread as inspiration for my own much slower project lol

More torque than m3, seriously?

Steering rack removal 15 minutes, oh the joys of lhd!

Didn't you have 2 sets of springs and shocks?

Yeah mate, I'll definitely be in touch to come see this fine machine.

Interesting about the torque - what flywheel were you using again?
I'm considering re-using the single-mass one from my M40 but have also read there can be vibration/noise issues.

I suppose it could go a little lower, doesnt look out of place as it is though - kinda has a rally-inspired look :p

oh and that interior is beautiful.

Beautiful work Norm!

The m40 flywheel on the m42 works well. But get it lightened a bit Jay Vee.

Wow what size are those wheels? looks really good, always fun to put your own touches to the styling.
Wouldn't say no to some more pics with your other wheel options too haha.

Been posing down at Carrefour Laval? :p

Darky - thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind!

I've pulled most bits I want to keep off the donor car so bout to pull the engine now... just gotta cobble together some sorta stand first...
