I received my COP kit today (thanks, Rob!) and it looks very, very nice.  If you are on the fence regarding this, by all means, go ahead.  I don't know how much Rob makes per kit, but the cost of the components and shipping can't be much less than the cost of the kit.  It's more of a public service than a commercial enterprise.

My one question - you reuse the connectors from the old coils to wire the plug on the new coils, after shortening the wiring harness, or do you need to buy new crimp-on connectors and plugs?

I'll be going over the top of the enginge in a few days, doing the COP, injectors, gaskets and cleaning up the water and vacuum lines beneath the intake manifold.  Plus, I need to replace four tires and a rear wheel bearing.

I bought the car in July knowing it would be a project, and I'm looking forward to it.

Pictures and coments to come, on appropriate threads.  I'm off to Joe Factor / Luky in Burbank to get some mil-spec items for the work.  There's nothing like surplus by-the-pound fastners.

Look for this kit in the Sept issue of Performance BMW.

It's mentioned in the "Two Men and a Little Lady" feature article.

I have asked the machine shop to produce some more.  I expect to have more by the end of this week or early next week.

Coils have shipped from the supplier, but have not arrived yet.  It looks like mid-week or later before we are ready to ship.

Any pictures of the wiring? I saw two in there, but is the wiring plug and play? The kit comes with wiring, yes?
