going on racingtrack this weekend :D
minitest

transport:

it needs some adjustment on fpr, but i´ll do that on the track.. eny recomendations on afr ?? around 13 ? i think i´ll fall on apr.2,8bar on fuelpressure on 4x300cc injektors, running 0,8-> 1,1bar , have turbochip with retarded egnition and som fuel changes, less on 0-3000, end som extra 3000->

i´ll let you all know how it goes :)

Wow - that's ambitious.  I'm happy that my stock M42 just runs reliably...you're reconfiguring that M40 totally.  Let us know what kind of power you get out of it!

Looks terrific, keep us up to date!

hi all :-)
been a while now but here is an update:
went on the track testing the car, setting was:
2,5bar basic fuel pressure
0.9mm spark plugs
0.9bar turbo pressure

i hadn´t adjusted the "airflowmessure?" so it went 2 ritch bellow 2000rpm (thats why 0.9mm sparkplugs), afr was around 10 when driving.. was playing around with the fpr.
result:
Plugs got blown out @apr. 5000rpm (was expected), had a hard time keeping it alive on low rpms.. to mutch fuel :).
exhost manifoil got some cracks doe to welding tension and no flex between manifoil-exhaust-wastgate.
a few destroyed sparkplugcables and some other few problems due to radiation heat from the turbo, and ofcourse the clutch got a hard time.. dooh.
But hey,all worth it.. so some new stuff is orded..

i made a small film from the first day, please keep in mind that i normaly drive a quattro with tiptronic ;), and not a good rwd driver..
first part of the film is from inside a 05 RS4 for referance..

That's a really cool project you have!
Did you do anything to internals? I'm amazed to see an M40 take over 1 bar of boost and still be alive :)
Why did you install your AFM on the passenger side? any advantages? if you have any details on that, I'm interested ;)
Where do you recycle the hose going from the catch can? into the air filter?
Any ways, I'll probably have a few questions later.
Thanks
E30 forever!

hi.

no changes other than fuel nossles?.

the AFR is mounted at same locaton that the original one is on exhaust, i´ve made my afr unit moveable (between cars)to have a easy wiring i´ve made a hole with the gearbox.

Where do you recycle the hose going from the catch can? into the air filter?
jepp, into air filter.
