nice write up, good pics
i too dleleted all that stuff, but good write up all the same. this is also a good time to setrvice the icv valve. there is a write up on it someplace, but its simple, basically just shooting carb cleaner through it a bucnh to free up the slides, as they will get full of junk from vacum, and stick, causing idle issues
and yes hat stinking hose to the radiator is a nightmare, even got mine from bmw as I did not think the aftermarket one was good, ends up the bmw one was just as bad/tight
so I heated mine with a hair dryer, then put some oil on the nipple of the raidator, adn slid it on, not easy, but easier then when it ws cold
another britlle piece is the throttle cable adjusting nut
and like mentioned above the big black plastic pipe
also a good time to replace the injector seals, or the injectors themsleves.but thtas a whole other issue and expense
but you saved money by doing the delete so you can afford the injector seals (
http://www.m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2742which of course can lead to different better injectors
if your not aware of that one, its a different write up, but better fuel atomazation, better gas milage, and better throttle responce and better idle, my 4 upgrade bosh injectors with seals cost me $80 ( for all 4)
I look at it like this.....the car is 20+ years old, if this piece of rubber or seal is going, the others are not far behind, if im right there with the parts in my hand , Ill replace them,
nothing sucks more, then redoing something a month later
