Well I thought I would post some photos of the e30 I bought for my wife.
There not that great and the car DOES need some work.
It will all be taken care of before time.
She has some big plans for this car when winter comes around.

Well on to the shitty photos.

the paint looks good on it in the pics

is it sitting "high" or just due to non-level parking lot surface?

its sitting high. less weight due to no sunroof.
I just got dont doing all of the vacume lines and cleaning out the TB and ICV.
Idles so much better now.
needs the valves adjusted and the timing chain stuff done.
I notice after I got done doing all this work and letting the car run for a while that it was building a lof of pressure in the cooling system and pushing coolant out of the resivor.
I took the cap off and the bleeder screw and let it run for a while and it just pushed coolant out again.
Im thinking that the car might have a bad HG.
any ideas??

No valves to adjust on this motor! Is it ticking loudly?

You can start with the timing chain tensioner, and some heavier oil...like 15w40.

If it STILL sounds like a diesel you will probably have to open her up to inspect guides and cam sprockets.

Well right now I plan to drop the 550 on all new parts and go from there.
Right now I noticed it had some serious are bubbles in the coolant.
If something is wrong with the motor then the wife will get the M50 in my car and Im going to build a turbo M42. or do a supercharger.

ok well I did a comp test and it was around 150 across the board.
I did a leak down test also and everything was good.
So I figure it has a bad T stat.
