nice to hear that you probably found a bmw source "near" your home. i probably know where to get s42 cranks.... but they are freaking expensive... around +2500.-$ a piece! whole engine between 16000.-$ and +45000.-$ depends on the evo steps.. and if rebuild or not.. the engine of the car, where i have the pics, need a rebuild every ~1000km for thousands of swissfrancs... thats the reason why the owner dont race that much....

I was talking to him today and apparently he can do different evolutionary steps between the m42 and the s42.
Obviously the further your go towarsd the s42 the less road worthy it becomes.
SO i might aim somewhere in the middle....
Im aiming for the e36 equivalent to the e30 m3's s14 engine..that is my new goal!!
if i had time enough.. i would go there everyday.. it would not be the second trip my friend, it would be the 4th..., i still need some pics of the cams, valves, camcarriers and the whole car lifted up... oilcatchtank around the gearbox etc...
but at the moment i have NO TIME but i promise that i go as soon as possible.... to take some pics!!!

Oh btw: i found out that the dry sump tank isnt 'AROUND' the gearbox, its part of it.
