long as my enigine is all in pieces i was gonna paint some of it and im starting with the valve cover and i want sum type of color theme im most def. painting it black but im not sure what to paint the lines on it i dont want to do the traditional grey so i was gonna go with either Red (my dad said it will look like a saab) or like an m3 blue. any input ? what do u guys think

P.S. spelling and punctuation can go screw

some ideas the black red yellow is mine you can do this with m3 colors or you can paint it black like the small black cover on honda's S2000

what color is your car and engine bay.  if white, i like red.  black then a darker color, like flat black to keep the stealthness.

i like i was thinking of the m power colors also as of right now i just have to go over my cover with a mild degreaser then im gonna prime it and my car is black or diamond black or sumthin like that but its all faded and Shite

there you go i have chrome bolts too and i just make a chrome cover for my COP setup im gone post some pics soon and i keep looking for an chrome m3 oil cup

I am in the process of redoing my VC and intakes...VC installed--intake (upper and lower in the works). Was thinking of powder coating them, but I am to damn cheap...lol
Steps I took.

1. Clean the piss out of the parts. I used "Aircraft Remover" to strip the parts.
2. Primed with "Adhesion Promoter"
3. Painted with Dupli-color Textured Metallic
4. Sanded "stripes and logo" to bare metal
5. Clear coated them

The VC is a little dirty right now....Don't punish me....lol

nice your intake manifold looks a hell of a lot cleaner than mine does. so what did you use beside the aircraft remover cause ive been going at my stuff with a wire brush on a air tool works good but not so much in the crevices

Just used the AR and a pressure washer. No scrubbing/sanding required. Just don't get that AR stuff on your skin....Will burn like a MoFo....lol

then i paint my cover i sandblasting it with glass :) it looked like a new one (maybe better)!!!!
