Nice looking car .
I believe the previous owner tried to get some help for that car on here .
He was from virginia also I believe.
This is a small but rapidly growing community here for these cars . I'm sure you'll find lots of Knowledgeable info. Make sure you get a Bentley Manual and a Multi Meter if you don't already have one .
WELCOME
Did he? (*edit* I think I found his thread about it, yup) I think he was tired of the reoccuring camshaft sensor problems, hopefully I'll figure it out. As much trouble as we had starting it, and the fact that it died twice on us and wouldn't restart for 10 min, I can't believe it actually made the 4 hr drive home without issue! It's got a new sensor, so it's pretty much down to the ECU and wiring, I think I'll throw an ECU at it (since that's easier) and see what happens.
And yes, I'm pretty well stocked on tools, and my Bentley's so used the cover came off and I had to put it in a 3 ring binder. Guess I need the E36 one now too for this engine!
Hey there
Hey! See, I liked your car so much, I copied you. I have 4 fewer lugs though, so I'm still feeling inferior. :p I have talked to Rob before about his, in fact, I visited their new shop just the other weekend (I used to work for them). If I go that way with mine, I'll probably hit him up and see who can finish theirs first.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!
One "theory" question if you guys know.... I didn't know (until trying to get this thing to start, and unplugging/wiggling them) that this had a cam and crank sensor. Do you know WHY it does? Just curious. Kind of seems redundant to me, I would think the other could be calculated since the two are USUALLY connected. heh.... now if it were redundant, and it could work fine with one or the other, that would be hot, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll look through my Bosch injection book to see if they discuss this in there, but I don't remember seeing such a thing.
