You can understand with the M3 why you'd keep this original. It's a cracker engine anyway, though maybe a chip from Midnight Tuning (not that far away from you!) could spice it up a little ;-)

Can hardly believe your'e on the home stretch - theres a lot of hard yards in this thread. Puts me to shame - taken me weeks just to get around to removing half a driveshaft lol!!

Norm... I heard the same thing, but I think he's going for something more like S42 territory with like 12:1 compression and 300+ cams and slide throttles but that could just be a rumor not sure

Nice going!  You might want to reseal the power steering pump.  It's quite easy.  Use part # 32411135880 for the seal kit.

Nice progress.  Don't forget to hook up thin vacuum line from the FRP to the throttle body.  I always have to remind myself of that one.

I meant the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. It's a thin hose and easy to overlook.

This is a fantastic rebuild. I am jealous of how clean everything in there is! I bet it drives very nicely.

Where did you get the new gas tank? I need to do that at some point.
