Very nice, I too plan to do the same when I paint the car, only chrom left minus the antenna and the ring around the roundels. I even have the headlight rings blacked out.

You can always go with the M3 antenna but I'm not sure they work the greatest.

Silicon carbide sand paper, scotch brite, and self etching primer is your best friend on this project.

For those with the (check-less) check panel that only displays a seat belt warning?

Made use of a spot that's previously only good for hiding a doobie, an old center console (for the vinyl), inexpensive materials, hours and hours of labor, and 3 of the 4 existing wires to fabricate a 3rd dome light. Yes... it be wired up to the door pin and light supervision from the keyless entry using a diode.

I agree it would be easier to mount the map lights from the vert but I find that rear view mirror is a little too bulky.

"made use of a spot that's previously only good for hiding a doobie" LOL, but where will the poor doobie go now?

I like your setup your interior appears to be very well lit compared to my e36 which is like a dark cave in comparison (dome light broken),  With tint i feel like i am in the bat mobile sometimes.

Not overly concerned, I would much rather have the map light. The old night vision isn't what it used to be.

I didn't know the e36 had the same problem? Most BMW interiors are lit up like a Christmas tree, even lights shine on the ground when you open the doors.

All this should be going in over the next few days, along with a new steering knuckle (non airbag) and e30tech conversion kit.

A long overdue rack conversion.

Just installed Metric Mechanic 3.91 ls diff and lightweight flywheel. I'll do a writeup with pictures after some testing.

Which car is this steering knuckle from ?

It's brand new for e30 318is (no airbag), shame I have to cut out the bolts and shorten it.
