Oil Cooler - Oil Cap

i am looking for a cheapest way to put an oil cooler to my m42 , and not VICTORY ( 255 $ + shipping )...

does anybody know any

Having a Victory cap in my posession now I can tell you that it's a lot more than just a cap.  You might be able to tap into the oil housing to get it done but this is not a project you want to do on the cheap.  

Having purchased the cap and pulled together my own oil cooler, steel braided lines, and fittings you don't even save much (provided you purchase the same quality parts) versus buying the whole thing from VPD.

like all greek people , the patend is in our blood , i managed to find a person that fibricated one oil filter cap with oil cooler output for me , for only 70 eyro .

1. the oil filter cap is larger in hight and in width

2. the central hole for the holder screw is bigger , also the hight of the screw got longer and the diameter of the screw head is bigger with o-ring under it...
!!! attention the screw (diameter) itself did not, exept the head,got bigger to leave place for the oil to goi all the way up...

the pick-up hole is a T hole... ( see pictures )
bottom end is for oil pick-up (oil line to cooler ) , left end is for oil press sensor ( outside ), and right end is oil passage for both...(it goes all the way to the center screw )

the return hole is also T hole ( see picture )
bottom end is for oil return (oil line to cooler ) , left hole is for oil return to the oil filter ( inside ), and right hole is on top of the cap (outside) for oil temp sensor...

Thank you. What is the distance center to center of the main pick up and return? I see that the return line travels to the center of the cap, where does the pick up pick oil up?Thanks

I see oil is picked up from the center of the oil filter housing!!

ford cosworth uses these , (my bmw also uses this now ) so you can use this also..
yes my oil cooler is already working , and it is working fine...
from the day i put it on , i haven't seen oil temp more than 90 celcius with full throtle and 220 Km/H ( have in mind that oil is also heats up in the turbine ) so i think it does a very good job...

about my turbo project , is has now 2 mothns working fine ( without intecooler ) because i have just finished fabricating the new hood i am going to use for my top mount intercooler project..

that is where the intecooler will stand , when i finish my hood , i will also keep apart the engine and the intercooler with a carbon wall so heat wont come on the intercooler ...
