Break Pad Wear Sensor Install
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:41:56 PM »
Hey All,

Has anyone ever had difficulty installing the rear brake sensor.  I'm talking about just pushing the sensor into the pad cutout.  I cracked one sensor.  The second one sticks when the springs/clasps are fully depressed.  The pads are Textar and the car is a 1991 318is.  Is there something I'm missing or is there a trick to it?

Sincerely,

Churning in my own anger...

I removed the entire pad wear harness and took the light out of the cluster, problem solved

I had the opposite problem, on my hawk hps pads the sensor won't clip in tightly, it's loose and just falls out! Should I glue it?
