lowering 318ic

Hi, I a new guy..
Has anyone lowered a 318ic? I am having a hard time finding springs. I just want to stiffen it up a bit, not slam it. 1-1.25 inch drop would be fine.:D

E30 M3 springs, no spring pads. (but cut something thin for a liner to prevent vibration).

Firmer, but not too stiff for the loose cabrio chassis. Lower, but not too low.

This is my set up with Bilstein sports and I love it.

Sorry to threadjack, but what did you use as a liner?  Been wanting to do this and haven't been able to think of a suitable material for liner to prevent metal on metal vibing and causing rust.  I want a little more drop in the front of mine running h&r's and billy sports.

On the fronts I used a water softner salt bag. The Cargill stuff is in a really thick heavy duty plastic.  The rear bottom I wanted to keep the bump stop and you need it to center the spring so I just trimmed it down so it just tucked under the spring and provided a cushion without lifting it up. I can't remember what I did for the top rear. Softner bag I'd guess.
