cluster problems!!!!!!

suddenly my cluster stoped working and i noticed my blower also is not working any idea whats causing this problem, as for the cluster the only thing that works is the mph

On the cluster it sounds like the cluster its self they are so unreliable.

In regards to the heater does it work on 1 2 3 4

Does everything but the Tach not work, then it is your SI board.  I had problems with both the temp and fuel gauge and it was the ground nut that had fallen off of both of them causing erratic readings.

Might want to check fuses 10 & 20 if it's all out.  There's a electrical troubleshooting manual here somewhere...http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7748

It's either your blower motor or resistor.  Do a search on this site or the e30 bimmerforums, it's not too hard to do.  Open the hood, pull the inspection plate on the firewall, pull plastic straps apart.  R&R as necessary.  Resistor pack looks like metal spaghetti, blower motor underneath.  Pull firmly to remove.
