Cools vids, sounds the car runs great!
Were you having some problems with 2nd gear? There was one corner during the practice runs (tractor/bulldozer in view) where it seemed like you were taking extra care and time in your shifts.

I think the turn you are mentioning is called "Off Ramp" at Buttonwillow.  For those of you who aren't familiar with Buttonwillow sometimes they run the track counter clockwise which is why they name every turn instead of numbering them.

That noise is driver error.  Some times I rush the down shift into Off Ramp by forcing it into 2nd.   If I wait an extra second it slips into gear without any noise.

So we had the car on the dyno again last weekend.  Established a new base tune and then tuned for our water injection.  Add timing and picked up 24 RWHP to just shy of 300.

This is a good comparison of then and now.

This video was the first time we put the new turbo version of the car (2 yrs before v2.0) on the race track for testing.  That side exhaust was brutally loud.  No muffler just a cut out on the right side under the passenger door.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdXD64OORPA&NR=1

We were overboosting back then (we didn't know it at the time).  We were probably making about 340hp at the wheels (conservatively).  Once we figured out that problem we tuned the car up to 333 hp at the wheels at about 18lbs of boost.  It turned out to be a little bit too much for throttle modulation.  We have since tuned the car down to 295hp.

We decided to add some brake cooling to the car.

Here are some photos of the our brake ducts installed in the headlight frame.

Before paint and stainless steel screening.

Here are some photos of the final install of the brake ducts.  The headlight brake duct install is a compromise.  We would have liked a direct shot from the lower spot on the front bumper.  The challenge for us is that we need to be able to pull our front bumper to be able to load the car on the trailer.  It would be too much work to also have to hookup the brake ducts every time we needed to either pull or install the front bumper cover.

The left front on jack stands and with the steering wheel turned full left.

This is looking up toward where the duct comes from the headlight.

This is a photo of the right side brake duct showing its path down toward the wheel.

Someone asked about the flex joints we added to our exhaust.  We added 2 flex joints in total.  One is visible in this photo.  The other is on the down pipe after the waste gate.

Last weekend at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.

Not exactly in focus but a cool shot.

Yes, those numbers are to the rear wheels.

We have the wastegate set at 16 lbs (we havent't changed it from the last time we were on the dyno).  It's making about 18 lbs.
