We have kits ready to ship and these sales are important to help us prep for this next race.

If you're ready to order, we are ready to ship.

As always we appreciate your support.

In appreciation of anyone that buys a kit this week (by Thurs evening 5/30), we will add a "thank you" section on our enduro hood.

It will include name, forum name and forum.

We will send each customer who purchases this week a digital photo of the hood as a token of our appreciation.

Example (hand written with a silver Sharpie):

HQ Autosports would like to thank:

We will be receiving a shipment of plates and #1 coils from our machine shop today so we have inventory on M42 COP kits.

Place your orders at our website  www.hqautosport.com

NOTE -- Check out for updates on our new Spec E46 race car.  We are currently building 2 Spec E46 cars but one will likely be up for sale very soon.

I've got the BavAuto coils.  if i just get option 1; M42 Plate, & Installation Hardware (no coils), will i be able to use the existing coils?

I'd rather not have to replace them since i've got a lifetime warranty on them.  I recently had my coils replaced by them last year after 4 years for free though i had the option for a refund so i may refund those wires and get this kit.

Sorry for the late reply but our kit (and all M42 COP options) requires a custom #1 coil.  The #1 coil won't fit otherwise.  We machine our coils professionally to modify the #1 coil.  Trying it on your own is difficult and there is a high probability that you end up hacking it up.

Look for updates to the site over the next few days with:

- Sale pricing on the Option #3 (full kit)
This sale is to help us prepare for the 25 hours of Thunderhill.

- Photos from our first 3 hour enduro at Buttonwillow with our new SpecE46 car

As always, we apppreciate your support.

Glad to see an update to this thread. I take there is stock on hand ready for shipment? I contacted the company via the website a few months back inquiring about COP availability and never received a response. Would you happen to know the general turn around time for a complete kit mailed to Los Angeles? I'm working with a time frame on my current build. Thanks for the time.

Ray -- Sorry about your email experience.  We had some family issues earlier this year that got in way of normal business.

We are back on track and fully functioning now.

We are waiting for some #1 coils to come back from the machine shop but we should be fully stocked by the end of this week

We ship from San Diego so once we have our shipment from the machine shop we can get a shipment to LA via USPS fairly quickly.

Howdy person,

This is my last attempt to contact you guys at HQ to get my warranty dealt with, after this, I give up.  This is by no means an attempt to bad mouth your company either.  While I hate making this semi-public, I really have no other option.  I have tried to email Rob repeatedly, which went back and fourth for about ten days in the spring of 2013, then I never heard from him again.  I've even sent you a private message without a response.

I purchased a COP kit, and about six months later, one of the coils went bad.  This was when I was briefly talking back and fourth with Rob.  At that time, all of the parts were still under warranty.  After Rob's final email to send in the coil for a replacement, I never heard from him.  He never provided a phone number, no address, nothing. I boxed everything up and returned it to the address at which the kit was mailed from (and on the invoice through Paypal) along with a letter to please let me know if Rob needed any further assistance.  I still have not heard back from anyone.  This was over a year and a half ago.

It is now coming up on nearly two years after buying this kit.  Can someone at HQ please handle this, before I go crazy?  I have been more than patient and I will not work with Rob for obvious reasons.  Please contact me privately once you have read this.  I leave for Germany in two weeks for the entirety of the summer and at the very least would appreciate talking to you or someone at HQ over the phone.
