I just started my install, and I seem to be missing the rubber grommets that go over the allthread.  Or am I supposed to reuse the old ones?

Any info on how to get this conversion for e36 m42?
« Reply #108 on: February 10, 2010, 05:24:09 PM »
Hi Rob, I saw a post on Bimmerforums of a cop conversion for an e36 m42 that used an e46 coil harness to connect to the e36 coil pack connector without any splicing on the e36 part of the harness and is completely reversible. any info or links on how to get this harness conversion?  Here is the link to the discussion.    http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=11973813#post11973813

They should be there.  I'm out of town but shoot me a PM and I'll get another set out when I get back.

Rob.

Oh so tempting as my 318is is in need of refreshing. She runs great, but i know some of its snappy responsiveness has begun to fade.....Hmmmmmmmm ill need to run it by the wife.

Do what I do.  When the wife asks why ANOTHER box showed up FedEx or UPS, I just say "well, you know that oil leak/coolant leak/exhaust smell/gas smell/etc....it's to fix that".  It's always worked so far.

Has anyone modified the stock spark plug cover (the black plastic that says "BMW") to work with the COP kits?  I will be ordering one shortly...gotta close on the new house next week. Then I can install it in my new 4-car garage!!!!! :D
