My car is e36 318is with aircondition. Does m20b25 flywheel and clutch-kit pass to my car. Is this good way to get lighter flywheel and clutch packet? I think this stuff is about -5kg lighter than the original doublemass flywheel and clutch kitt.

I think you can use the E30 M40 no a/c flywheel instead, it's a cheap single-mass alternative. The M20 flywheel has a different gear pitch so your starter won't work. Also the flywheel is lighter but the clutch is heavier, you end up saving only ~2kg.

An m20 flywheel is well worth it, they can be lightened alot, mine weighs 9 pounds, as for the starter, you can have the flywheel machined to accept an m42 starter ring or put an m20 starter gear on your m42 starter. As for an m40 flywheel, I do not know if it will fit. On my other car, I have an M42 non ac flywheel that has been lightened to 17 lbs and it is a very nice set-up.

i went with the M42 non-AC flywheel & a "stage 2" clutch from SPEC last month. 8lb difference and it was a straightforward remove & replace.
