M42 with M47 Crank
« on: January 16, 2009, 06:26:11 AM »
Hi i am a newbie to this site.
i am in the uk and i have just got hold of a M47 Crank :D

I know what you can do with
M44 pistons (2.0l) and
S50 pistons (2.1l) but what displacement and compression ratio would the engine be with the standard m42 pistons and an m47 crank?

Thanks

Btw, take note that you will need to modify the crank (shorten the nose a little and additional notch for the woodruff key).

Also, you will have to deck the pistons.
