Im planning on rebuilding my m42 with 160g on it. Im thinking that if im gonna tear it down might as well give it some goodies. What I think I might want to do is.
Get hardened sleeves�. who if any make them/they are removeable right?
Hi pro pistons w/Teflon cote round and ceramic top coat.
Definitely rod bearings maby rods if I can find any good ones and keep my arm.
Balance/blueprint
Ceramic coat head
Whats the best for valves and springs? Rocker updates?
Ive seen a couple cams, what do I look for?
Solid lifters
Ive already got lsd but not sure what one, do u know?
Then intake, any good sudgestions?
What do u think would be the best ecu?
Maby put a turbo on at same time, maby after if it costs too much.
How much pressure can I run one of these at and still be driveable?

you can run a turbo with 7-9 psi easily on stock internals. as for drivable, depends on how much $$$ you have. and as for price, it shouldnt be more than 1300-1600$ to run a turbo setup, espeacially if your a diy-er.

as in be able to build an engine that preformes on the road as well as the track, hi end=hi rpms. i want it to be my daily driver still after i mod it, is there any driveability issue with these engines after you soup em up? im looking to end up with around 225hp.

sounds kinda lofty with stock internals and keeping it reliable.......

boost it.
get a set of pistons, valve springs, and a turbo setup with a tune, you'll have all the power, and top end you'll ever need

im not really planning to ues the stock internals. im going to completely rebuild it from crank bearings to throttle body. might as well go all out when i do it, its still in the planning stage. i think i saw something about m3 injectors being a good upgrade on the m42. true? definately going to need bigger injectors.

ive never heard of it...

go with 4 pintle mustang injectors or a mega squirt setup.
