Anyone ever hear of this?

So I was just lookin around, and I decided it would be fun to see what wiki has about our engine, I came across this interesting little tidbit

"Further, the long-stroke forged crankshaft from the M47 motor coupled with an overbore of +2 mm will make for a 2.1 L Stroker M42. The 86 mm pistons from a European 3.0 L S50 will produce a high compression, stroker M42 when coupled with the M47 crank. The addition of a MAF conversion from an M50 engine and properly setup cams, valvetrain, and tuning will yield potent output from the "lowly" M42."

Is this feasable? The M47 engine came out of a european diesel model that never hit the states. According to this....we can have a 2.1L using BMW parts and bump our engines to another level.

yeah i'm getting nothing.... even the term m47 crank isn't showing up in either swap/builds/turbos or the engine + driveline sections

Yea, I've never used the search on these boards to much avail.

But I'm willing to bet it was someone from this board that even submitted that information to wikipedia haha.

Search for the user "Febi Guibo"

One of the first cars to use this kind of application.

I almost built an m42 stroker, but my love for inline 6 is too much to bear.

I was going to use:

M44 Crank
M44 Rods
S50 Pistons

Would have been a nice setup.

i'm sleeping on top of an m47 crank.
I have a full turbo settup in the garage
I'm also sleeping on a haltech e8
I have a full motor waiting for this all, and a few more goodies once i've brought them all together.

Jeez, I wish I had the money like you guys do. Workin on an part-time working students' paychecks, it's a little hard to afford the parts I want. So, Grindculture, winks aside, it is possible? I just wanted to ask because I'm not sure if the S14 exhaust flanges or ports match, much less the head.

s14 parts will be more expensive then tracking down the parts I have.

FYI, i'm also a student, a 4th year business major. I just find really good summer jobs, and really good deals on parts:D
