Hey guys...

running problems again and I'm not quite sure what it is this time... what do you think???
Here are the symptoms:
-lack of power
-when started hot, the engine seems to not take any rpm change ie: give gas to 1500rpm, and it goes back down to 1000. try driving with it and it almost stalls. condition lasts for about 1 minute. If i give it a few short taps on the gas (3500-4000 rpm) it shortens the time laps. It started doing this when i shecked the O2 sensor if it was still good (still works, but could be better)
- exaust smells strong

It doesn't burn any oil, but i do get a bit of coolant in the oil... did compression test 215-225 psi on all 4. not sure if i did it right ( I cranked until the gauge stopped rising, about 4 turns)

What about when started cold?

but is the car shaking/engine a lot or it has irregular erogation?
how is coolant level in reservoir?

do you have a good spark?
check your fuel pressure
check if your AFM flap is working
check your throttle position sensor

what happens when the engine is cold?

I do have a good spark and it runs smooth and all... even when hot. the problem is only during the first minute or so when it's hot.

I've worked on it since i posted, and now it's completely gone wild... here's the work i did:
changed MAF, changed cat conv.

now it won't start at all... the fuel pump isn't working. and it's barely 6 months old. I checked the fuel pump relay (replaced it with fog light relay to test) and it's still good. checked the cam/crank sensor wires, ok. checked for spark, have good spark.

don't knopw where else to look...

How did you check the cam crank sensors

Only code that i get is 1444 (no code stored)

got it! it works now:D The fuel pump connector ( C190) was "loose"... the wires that go into the connector weren't doing a good contact, thus not providing the power to the fuel pump! thanks for all your help!
