Startup not as responsive
« on: March 13, 2008, 04:44:23 PM »
Car use to start right up upon turning the key, now it'll do the "i dont' wanna go to school today" whine. In other words, takes about 2-3 seconds to start. Any ideas what's going bad, maybe the starter, injectors, coils (i bet they are all original). I've already replace plugs in Dec 07.

Course why fix it unless it's broke, but it's probably a good time to hoard some parts in the events it does break sooner or later. Thanks.

Didn't someone have this problem and ended up fixing it by putting a check valve in their fuel line?

Yes, he(forgot who it was, he posted it up on the 'tech too), found that his fuel was running from his lines back into the tank while the engine was off. He installed a check valve, and no more problem.
It\'s not paranoia if they really are out to get you.
