i am now driving around the last 50'000km without any problems...!!i have 240'000km on the clock. i was just wondering whats gonna happen next!! and tata... the rear right wheelbearing begins to make music!!! so i am planning to replace the wheelbearings on both sides and the rubber mountings in the trailer arms, also on both sides.

i ordered some new wheelbearings an the rubber mountings... pictures of parts and work are comming soon!!

second step... develop a special bmw-rubber-mounting-retract-tool!



the idea behind the story.. rubber mounting..washer..metaltube..washer..nut!! with that tool i can easely remove the rubber mountings..!! i am now looking for a small tube..

thanks to "kowalski" it was his idea!!

hey, have you replaced the bearings yet? was wondering how you did it. I was told that they would have to be pressed out. I'm looking at replacing mine, as the rear left has a click to it when you rotate the wheel (while on jacks).

caused my last tire to prematurely wear in a single spot on the tire. the rest of the tire had plenty of tread depth. that, and you can feel a slight shimmy side-to-side at low speed (>20mph).

Too tired to understand how that gadget works. What are the measurements of those washers, metaltubes etc?
