I'm still trying to figure out if it's an M45 or an MP45.
I got it for 300 euros/440$.
Tag reads A 111 090 03 80, Eaton 18036 and there is another side tag that reads CAXXXXX (where x are numbers i don't remeber now).
Also i need to know the diameter of the crank pulley from the E200/C200. Anybody have an idea or should i just proceed to the merc forums?
Hi Vladii,
I had that fitted on my M44 a year ago, but now going to turbo :p
That supercharger is a M62. It's same internal capacity as DASC (1 liter), but is more compact. That pulley is electroactuated, if you look the connector there are two pins, one is ground and the other you can give it +12V under switch.
With that pulley I was seeing something under 7psi, so go ahead! Wich pulleys do you have on your m42? Serpentine or V-belt?

I have some notes:
1. do all possible to have the S/C aligned to the main belt, otherwise with another pulley only for it there will be other problems (like tensioner pulleys...)
2. delete from your mind the BOV, but take a BPV(bypass valve) Bosch from all VAG 1.8T or Porsche. Will cost minus and will not give problems with ECU
3. if you don't will move the trotthle valve at supercharger inlet, it will make a HUGE SCREAMING NOISE (I like these things, but that is simple too much, you'll scary people even at 1500 rpms

)
and I mean like this:
mine were exactly like first one, that as you can see, it has TB after the SC...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H9Bd7xL26ghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqghXB9Hn_4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vOIGPxIFQ8 4. be sure to send the right amount of fuel, so buy a wideband gauge and lambda like Innovate LC-1

5. buy more belts, because if it will not be perfectly aligned, they will come off and destroy all:rolleyes:
6. fit a intercooler, it will make a huge difference:D
7. you'll need a lot of time if you're DIYing, but you'll learn a lot
8. if you need help, ask in this thread!
9. you'll have a lot of torque from 1500rpm to revlimiter, if you floor it in 5th at 1000 revs it will go and go and go

10. I fitted it in four different positions, if only can find other pictures...
11. if you'll use a rrfpr, run fuel lines far away from belts... because if a belt spun, it will try to destroy all little hoses up and down its standard position...
after a year running NA, I miss it (and I should admit that I miss its sound too...), but I'm switching to turbo because car is a DD, so I wasn't able to align at 1/10mm the pulley with the others, and for me a DD must be 100% affidable.
