Wow, I just realized the significance of the fire extinguisher mod. I look forward to seeing pics and maybe even a write-up of how you installed that baby!

the mod is very simple. i will do a write-up with loads of all the mods i will be doing.
i wish to document the project with many in pictures since i just bought a new Nikon D40 and want to use it extensively

i will start in may 2007 as university will be ending and i assume i will have the needed funds by then. (i'll be taking a month off work and do everything at once) if you need info on the extinguisher mod i can always do a pre mod write-up

basically its a clear plastic tube that's fix to the extinguisher, going through the a/c holes in the firewall and directed towards both sides of the engine. a quick release puller could also be made so it can be activated from the driver seats for racing applications

wow i haven't been here in a while but i need to take a picture of my manifold i looks like a pair of aluminum rims ... and how would the clear chip away ... its a high heat clear coat and only on the outside of the valve cover

clear coat can chip, it just happens, sometimes the adhesion isn't great to bare aluminum which can be porous and have oily residue in it.

From the factory the finish had some sort of clear, haven't seen one with 100% finish still there.

i had the impression you were talking about painting the inside of the runners, sorry. my project will receive a high heat flat black finish on the outside and i will polish the inside

the list of parts and mods i will perform is going to shrink a little. got slacked off and only working 10hours a week. plus i'd rather make it reliable and save money so i can get out of this shit hole.

no respray, no wheels, no chip

just whatever it needs to run all the way back to the west coast as soon as university is over
