data of the engine:
balanced original crank
machined original flywheel (minus 2.5kg)
specially made m-gmbh rods
specially made m-gmbh pistons (mahle and then machined to spec.)
newly honed and planned block
new bearings and new sealings
intake and outtake grinded out
newly machined valve seats
new an cutted valve guides
new cams
lightened and grinded intake
underdrive alloy pulleys
aluminum and titan parts, screw and stuff wherever i can find a few gramms
because 1000 x 1g is 1kg
and a lot more....
goal: 8000revs, 190ps, minus 6kg(engine)

the idea is to build an engine with original parts, except pistons, rods and cams and an original displacement of 1,8 litres. i want to increase the performance of the car with lightening and balancing the engine AND lightening the car... i want to go under 1000kg.. i hope to 950kg

You can fit gearbox from E36 M42/M40 engine, you will get good ratios with 3,7-3,9 final drive ratio.
