OK...Bentley says I need to do a bunch of removing/loosening of stuff from the front end to get the oil pan out. What's the best way to get the oil pan out? I searched but didn't find anything specific. BTW, the head and intake are off the car.

yea, removing/loosening a bunch of stuff is about right.

If you are just removing the lower pan it's as simple as removing all the bolts that hold the lower to the upper. Go take a look at it and it should be obvious.

I want to remove the whole pan. I'm thinking of just taking the trans/motor out as one piece. Thoughts?

The Bentley says remove control arms, lower subframe, etc. I don't know if I want to be bothered. Plus, I'd like to do the tranny seals and shifter bushings. Should make it easier when it's all out.

You don't have to take the engine out to get the upper pan out.

I just unhooked the engine mounts and jacked up the engine at the tranny, it gave me just enough room to get it out. Although it is a pain getting it back in without the gasket moving.
