list of bushings to replace.
« on: November 21, 2007, 11:58:28 AM »
i really need to replace all of the bushings on my car, but i dont know what all to get.  is there a list of all the bushings on the car?  i am planning on getting bilstien sports and h&r race, or sports, anything special needed for a lower car? i have some rogue engineering rsm's on my e36, i will switch those to the e30.  i searched and came up with nothing.

thanks

Front Control arm bushing
Rear Subframe bushing
Rear diff mount
Rear trailing arm bushings aka silent blocks

Other wear items:
Front Upper strut mounts
Rear shock mounts
Tie Rods
Control arms

That's it, it's a very simple suspension.

No. But if you switch them to greasable urethane it will improve your handling, feel, life, and responsivenees of the suspension. Bmp design has a set that is not too pricey.

get the lifetime shock mounts from bimmer world i think it is. they are like $40

for all the bushings either get stock, or go with ones from akg motorsport. The urethane will be a little stiffer and easier to install and uninstall. Dont get IE bushings they dont fit right

I've got akg poly ones, and they fit perfectly with little or no loss of ride quality.

Depends if you have aftermarket suspension or not. If you do then get the offset. As for the poly the 75d is a stronger urethane but prone to squeeking. Plus check if they come greaceable. If they do then all you would need is white lithium greace to fill them with and they won't squeek.
