Hey guys,
So I am acquiring a lightened M20 flywheel (13lbs) from a machinist. I'm wondering if anyone else has put a lightened stock M20 on their M42.
My question is do I need the spacer ring from the M42 dual-mass if there is enough clearance? The machinist said he took a lot off the flywheel side that faces the engine/oil pan. My guess is I will not need the spacer.
If I do NOT need the spacer, will I still be using the factory M20 flywheel bolts? And I'm curious if the starter will have any problems engaging the ring gear?
