Mind you its only for the time being until I drop in the turbo, then it will have a more beneficial use cooling the turbine.

i think the hood scoop looks great though iwould put mesh or something to get rid of the gap on the bumber

Just a few things for you to think about, or maybe you already have.

Why do you want to keep the temperature of the turbo down?
Turbines are more efficient at higher operating temperatures, turbos are designed to run very hot, it is how they work and I do not see any benefit to having more airflow around them.  Cold intake air on the other hand is more important.  I can't imagine any way to draw air from your scoop for intake purposes.  

Where is your intercooler going to be that it will see air from this scoop?
 Some subarus use top mounted intercoolers, but there is no space in our engine bays for this.

You may like the looks of the scoop, and that is your own matter and a matter of taste, but I do not think it can be described as functional just because air can get into the engine bay through it.

I think you should work on that scoop more and get it right.

Its like a lazy eye or saggy breast.  With body work its not measure twice cut once.  Its measure 10 times, make a template, use masking tape to line it up precisely, quadruple check those lines, and then finally you are ready to make additions because the human eye is very capable of judging when something isn't centered perfectly.  A purposely off-center scoop such that it would be above the factory air box would be easier to install accurately since it is not an attempt to center, if you know what i mean.

Is it just me or is the bumper higher on the drivers side?
