The car looks so good. With the e30 turning vintage its nice to see it when they get this kind of attention. Awesome work.

I saw this one before, but I think the cloth looks nice.  Is that vinyl or hard plastic?

It is vinyl-covered molded cardboard, similar to the door panels. You could always just carpet it - particularly if you are going to widen the hole for the larger tool kit anyway.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

The trunk liner was made out of hard card board then carpeted.  I believe that he bmw cover is NLA.

The car will be in BIMMER mag soon with a full write up on its story.  I will post the article when is comes out.

I have one, it looks like a BMW Comfort seat (E30 saloon)?
I have a black passenger side in fair / good condition, its leatherette is in good shape, but seperating slightly from the center / side bolster area.
PM me for pix.
I am in the Boise, Idaho area, FYI.

A lovely piece of work and all credit to you! As a matter of interest, what gearbox are you running? I ask 'cause the shift pattern on the shift knob seems to suggest a 6 speed.

Actually it has the stock 5 speed transmission.  When i ordered the shifter from the dealer they never ordered the 5speed pattern emblem.

Although i have a feeling that a 6 speed might fit:cool:
