it doesnt look like those bolt down, so I would assume they wouldn't work.  Those type push into the spark plug holes.
1991 318is: 5 Lug conversion - M brakes - GC track/school 500/650 - (more power here)

Thanks, I wetsanded it with a random orbital, then finished it on a bench polisher.

Do you know which plug goes to each coil?
I am swapping into a 2002 and not everything on the harness is labeled.  Two of the leads are together and the other two are on their own.

does this make sense?

Also what is the little leg on the one end for?  That sticks out past the valve cover, near the firewall.

The valve cover is wider at the top than where the original cover fit. I have had a new cover on my do list for some time but have never gotten around to it. It would be easy to secure it to the COP plate. I was going to get black plastic (heat resistant) and make one and try some different logos, etc. Unfortunately, I've always had two or three things on my to do list ahead of it. If any one else does something nice I would be interested in one.

It is to secure the wires leading to the coils, if you would like I can make one without.
