hey there, for some reason when i start the engine and its cold the car sputters until it shuts off if i dont give it gas and i noticed that when it does that the check engine light comes on but if i rev it up stops the sputtering.

any clue what can be causing this>>>

I am not a mech or tech but could it be the idle control valve.

does the car's rev's bounce when its idling? I could be a bad vacuum leak as well. my car has one somewhere and the check engine leak comes on and turns off when i give some gas.

since we're on the subject...what are some good ways to find vacuum leaks?

no idea what it is, its doing it when i start the car and at the same time it sputters the check engine light comes on but when i rev it it stops and then idles fine after a few good revs:D
didnt do a diagnose yet!!!

Get a bentley manual if you don't have one already. It is the bible for these cars.
And search is your friend.
