Sali Pierre, welcome to forum.

your english is just great. If i have been able to get myself understod here, it's not difficult for you either. I would prefer to write in Finnish.

Do you guys really think that they speak German language in Switzerland....

My wife is a half Swiss, so i hear "Swiss" everyday at home, when she speaks with our kids.
Compared to German the "swiss-deutsch" is totally different language. If you have some area in the States (Southern states?) who have a totally different kind of accent, take such a person who speaks with that accent, put a hot potatoe to this persons mouth and let him speak some US english.Easy to understand?  That's how the swiss-german sounds to the person who speaks "normal" german. Of course the written language is the same also in Switzerland.

Switzerdeutsch is a strange thing. It's very difficult to understand. I once saw a program on German TV where they interviewed a business man that was speaking Switzerdeutsch and they ran sub-titles in German.

As you probaply know swiss-german is not a written lanquage. The grammer is the same as it is in "real" german. At least my swiss-german spaking wife writes german, not swiss "accent"

Unless we are living in Finland my wife's Seat Leon have a CH sticker on rear glass ;)

My family speaks high-german, as for writing in German, ive never done it so i did not know that Swiss-German was written in German.....i learn something new every day.
