what is You budget if I can ask You? I am thinking about the 400+ M42 next Year too...

What ECU will You use? I was planning to use VEMS...

About thinking... What about 9000rpm's? It's not that expencive when You plan to change valves too... Just throw away theese heavy oil-pressured lifts and put there light plate-adjustable ones or even AlfaRomeo type ones... And You will be free to rev a lot more...

BTW, with that big turbocharger it would be really tricky to drive that beast :) And this is what tigers like most!!!

Those KMS systems are just great. Here's KMS engine management system installed into a Finnish Porsche 951:


KMS "kit" for Porsche 951:



This system produced 400 hp from 2,5 L Porsche 951 engine. Turbo used was a Holset unit. Somehow i doubt you will not get 400hp from a 1,8liter engine...

If you get some serious hp figures you should also upgrade your brakecalipers.
I am using these units under my 3.0L Porsche 951:

yes i'am not started whit the head ....so i don't know what my planes ( i hope i write it ok :confused:) are...

and i like tigers :D

but the turbo charger is more flowed @precesion turbo's sow it wil be earlier comming in

This KMS looks promising.... I will take a closer look at the weekend. I'm jelous about theese porshe brake calipers...

I definately think, that You should upgrade Your front disks and calipers - take a look at  http://www.300mm.de . . .

I'm going to adapt bmw e38 calipers and fit them with A3 Audi rotors. They will be just 284mm big :( but I will keep my 15 inches rims - they are the only reasonable for our roads conditions...

My budget will be about 5000 euros - including painting/ welding/ tranny/ brake conversion and all things You can see in my member profile... I'm going low budget rather than all new parts - but the project has "just" begun...
:) So who knows how will it end... I can feel that it will raise as time goes by...

About the Brakes ... http://www.300mm.de ... there you can buy some realy good 312mm Brake kits for about under 1000Eu.

Wow that's a lot of parts!  Very nice pile you got going there, can't wait to see the build and the outcome of this project.   Take lots of pictures while you do it alright?

They are called stainless steel braided brake lines.

I just got these when i exchanged some Porsche parts, could also consider them. It's quite hard to make a descision ;)

i'am also thinking and looking about the 300mm.de brakes (308mm for my 16" ) whit Tarox discs and ferodo blocks

Used/New Porsche Brembos are available from German Ebay. Don't waste your money into some kit. All the parts are readily available, also caliper adapters can easily fabricated by a local machine shop. We have done it for several Porsches.
