EAT chip group buy for E30 M42!

Well i installed my Chip today Mark! Took me about 25 minutes because of all the annoying clips on the Motronic box lol...But man its a very noticeable difference over stock! It idles very smooth upon start and all throughout smooth revving...Big power gain it felt like too:D And yes I decided to test the rev limiter at 7150 (although it scares me to rev that high) and it came on right after the 7k mark and bounced nicely for about a second then I stopped cuz I felt like I was hurting my car haha...all in all I absolutely love the chip and I cant wait for suspension and other mods!

Thanks Mark!:D

id like one as well. I was on your site about to roder one, but then decided to check on this site and here is this thread. Im sure the GB is long gone, but if possible could you still do something for me? On your site i only see the 91 octane chips and i would like a 93 octane one.

thanks

Hi Vlad,

thanks for your order.  I'll give you 10% off.  This applies to anyone else who didn't get in on the GB action and get 15% off also.

I updated my site today and you can order the 93 octane version from there now.

My site will be completely renovated in September!

Mark

Now since many of you have your chips, please go and dyno your chips --> before and after -style

I maybe doing a couple dyno runs here in following months...so I'll definitely do some with and without the chip. Dont get mad if it takes me awhile though as Im doing it with a bunch of AWD guys when they go so I dont have to pay as much :)

The Metric Mechanic guys use a dyno in Springfield at a place that specialises in Saab (I think)   Is that were you are going?

Why?  You drive on a road, not a dyno.  And they work just fine on the road.

That GB anded over a month ago.   If a few people want to get in let me know.  Mention "M42-GB" to get $17 refunded after placing your order via PayPal.   Only till the end of August!

93 chip

It has been a while since I installed the 93 octane chip in to my 318i. And yes, I am sure that nothing new will be said here..... But I thought it was important to say how impressed I am with this chip.

This chip has changed my car. It is like there is a new engine under the hood. smother idle, much better low end, improved mid range, and snappier throttle response. All in all, a much nicer car to drive around town.

Always thinking that a chip would be in my future, since I want to do some auto cross, I never gave a thought to how it would improve the car for the day to day drive. But the changes it made to the daily commute, has made this, my best purchase to date.

Thanks Mark !

Your welcome!   It's always good to hear positive feedback.

Anyone else interested in a chip?  I can't beleive how slow sales have been this year.

I was curious if anyone had emission test problems after installing the chip.  In other words, will I have to swap back to the stock chip for the test?

Thanks,

Steve

is there is significant performance difference between the 91 and 93 octane chips?  we have 92 octane here, but i travel to places where there is only 91.  it seems like most people have been getting the 93, though.  so, is there a big diff?
