your 93 octane is the same as 98 ron octane?

Perhaps I will buy a chip later, would like to see some performance figures. My car doesn't drive yet, just finished an M42 swap this weekend :)

WOW! My engine has never run this smooth before. Better idle, more power throughout. Nice job Mark!

Yea I just ordered mine!

How many orders have you had now Mark?

You can put me down on the people that have paid list!
My paypal email is scooterpatch6465@peoplepc.com though
not my normal email address.
I went ahead and payed the full 230$ as it says you will just
send the discounts back. Are you going to do that via
paypal? Orrrr some other way?

Thanks!

I'm sending them back via PayPal.  I had planned to do it this past week but had a bunch of work to do.   I have to count up the total, and I'll post it here.  I think I just got one or two more.   The discounts will definitely go out this weekend.

Great! Yea this is my first part/mod or heck anything Ive purchased for this car. Ive only owned it for about 2 weeks haha...

Is it hard at all to install the chip??? And does it come with instructions?
I know that sounds like a huge newb question being that I already bought the chip but I am a very new to this car and BMW's.

Cant wait to get the chip though...should I be checking the mail for it sometime this week??

Its pretty easy, but your fingers have to work a bit more gingerly than when you are, say, yanking out a tranny, and you do want to be careful because you can mess up some electronics if you do something wrong. Here's some good write-ups:

Chip is here and installed. 93 octane. Got the refund as well. Thanks for hosting the GB Mark, it has been a pleasure working with you.

As for the chip, midrange is infinitely better, and I can keep up with traffic without going over 3k rpm (not that I ever drive that slow ;) ). Fuel economy seems to be about the same. The best part is being able to spin the wheels going into second ;) as well as the 7k rpm redline. It's like a whole new car!!
