Thank you man.
Well, I installed rotors and pads. Went for a test drive and noticed heavy vibration when braking.
I inspected the both sides (in front) to make sure none of the bolts were loose or over torqued. The problem still remained after all of this.
However I did notice that my balljoints were completely fucked, they were wobbling in their housings.
So two days ago, I had the control arms and lolli-pop bushings replaced. The vibration decreased significantly but was still there.
Today when I drove the car around, I heard the left front pad really rubbing against the disc, as well as a noise coming from the right every now and then.
I dismissed it because I felt it was the pad the rubbing on that side well...
Ultimately I blame myself, I just can't figure out what I could have overlooking when I double and triple checked!!
Probably the most disappointing thing is loosing the rim. Hopefully I can find another!! Or maybe two.. a bit optimistic!
I'm just going to hope for the best.
hey denis
- that sux, glad you didn't die, get hurt, or cause (more) body damage to your car; you are still a big dweebus, but we would miss you...
- it totally sux about your wheel; this is one factor why I got the ronal LS rims vs say a totally mint set of BBS deep dish RZs... I could buy 5
- can you recap exactly what you did and had done to the front brakes... it may not be a coincidence that you have had a ton of stuff done to them... and noticed a weird problem right after you mounted the new rotors and pads
- really, let this be a lesson to all; if you tell your car you're planning on selling it, it gets pissed and tries to kill you...
count yerself lucky you didn't say you were going to part it out!
