Window Regulator?
« on: March 19, 2007, 08:31:57 AM »
My pax window is intermittent when I push the button.  Sometimes it will work and go up all the way down.  At other times it travels max about 15mm.  Any thoughts?

Am I the only one with a window problem?  I think it is a window reg but have not heard of them going out on E30s.  My E46 eats them.

if you want to test it, take the door panel apart and run direct power from a battery to a drill to the motor of the regulator. if it goes up and down fine then it's probably your switch.
somewhat of a teaser...

Damn you, you just jinxed me as my passenger switch literally went out yesterday. :D

All you have to do is lift off the shift boot and press out the switches from the bottom. Try switching the driver's and passenger switch to determine if it's a switch or not. Highly unlikely that they would both go out at the same time.
