He is surpremely talented, but NASCAR is a different beast. My guess is they will allow him to do moderately well to build interest but aren't too keen on him winning any championships or too many races. The good ol' boys aren't gonna let no foreigner actually win a title. If he ever has a lead late in a race, look for the famous "debris on the race track" phantom yellow flag -- NASCAR's speciality.
There's a famous story about Wally Dallenbach, a road racing expert, who had a HUGE lead at a Watkins Glen or Sears Point -- I mean, like long gone, way beyond bumpin' range. If the race had gone green to the checkered a road racin', Trans-Am interloper would have won the day. Think NASCAR let that happen? No freakin' way. Out comes the oil-on-the-track yellow, and the nerf him out of the way on the restart. That's NASCAR.
