Strange engine noise - timing chain?

This appeared few weeks ago after the car warms up it disappears, but it begin to sound louder , so i've stopped driving the car. All chain guides and chain tensioner were changed few years ago .

It sounds like a tapping or rattling of something metallic to me. If it is getting louder, then something must be loosening or continuing to break.

Try checking these things:
- Engine fan catching on something
- V-belt tensioners are loose
- Perceptible radial or axial play in any of the things driven by the V-belts (checked with belts off)

When you changed the chain guides, did you do the long one on the driver's side, and when you did it did you replace the old metal+rubber one with the newer plastic+rubber one? The old one used a 40mm M6 bolt, and the new style one uses a 45mm bolt, and sometimes if you reuse the old one it will strip out of the head and rattle against the upper timing cover.

Hello, new style guide plastic_ rubber was used but with old style bolt 40mm .Engine fan is ok , will check the v belts tensioner . Thanks
Also the sound dissapears when i rev the engine or if the engine gets in operating temperature

update, i have taken out the cam cover, chains looks good, with a help from a neighbour looks like we have found the source :

looks like the throttle body flaps has a play , i will try to make a video, is a very strange thing

Interesting. Is it the circular throttle plate that is vibrating, or the external linkage?

Looks that is the circular internal plate, play is also visible from the external linkage.

Strange. Did the torsion spring break? There should not be any play in the throttle linkage if the spring is still in one piece (well, 2 springs actually, you can inspect them easily since they are on the outside).

Update, i've tried yesterday to check again the throttle but i didn't make any progress , starting the car with no intake boot requires 2 persons and i was alone, now it idle's very poor and i think that playing with the throttle i've messed up the TPS.

If the intake boot was removed and after you have bad idle, check for any vacuum leaks. something might not be sealed correctly.

i will check again, today  i have removed the throttle body i was surprised to find out that i have the heater plate like bellow :

As far as vaccum leaks all hosed are craked and bandaged with tape so i need a new set. Already ordered a new TPS and an intake gasket.

Update - i have removed the upper intake and ordered the water and air hoses that were damaged and and gaskets for throttle body and intake.  i have 1 stripped bolt at the throttle body and missing  one that holds ther part nr 16

So , repleced 2 hoses from the throttle body heater replaced one vacuum line, need to buy also the rubber boot , made this video today https://flic.kr/p/2jChWCu  appears that when i'm touching the upper throtle body the sound stops. I will try to get an E36 throttle body and test it.

The E36 one is missing the hose connection for the valve cover vent hose. If you have an E36 one laying around and just want to test things to see if the noise goes away, you could use it and just leave the valve cover hose disconnected. It also lacks the threaded holes for the bracket that holds the lower TB heater, but again it can be left off for testing purposes.
