e36m42 diagnostics
« on: April 29, 2015, 09:52:21 PM »
i can feel the car accelerates quite badly between 2000 to 4000. the power delivery is not smooth and there seems to be some retardation. this is most noticeable when the AC is turned on.

has anyone of you experienced this? i think the AFM maybe the culprit but i am not sure. i have taken snapshots of diagnostics while the car is stationery. is there anythign abnormal?

i am inclined to get some diagnostics software to at least track the parameters while car is running to at least isolate the problems. but there are so many out there? which hardware connectors should i get and software? which of these is good on e36m42? i tried to buy one on ebay uk but the seller told me it may not work on my car... too old!

there is constant fault codes on AC. this ecu always says AC is on even though AC compressor is deliberately turned off. i do not know what the mechanic has done. because the e36 AC has two parts and e30 is just a simple AC signal that informs the DME whether it is on or off.

how do you guys solve this problem such that when AC compressor is turned off, it will tell the DME properly in order to get rid of this error 085

thanks
