Depo Brand headlights Install help

May seem dumb but the new M3 I bought came with a couple of boxes of Depo brand headlights.
Nice euro smiley model.

So I took them out and bolted them in only to then notice the connections are completely different and there is an extra connection for the smiley. Has anyone installed these before and could offer part numbers to bridge the gap between the M3 wiring and the depo brand?

The connectors and wires needed cost A LOT at the dealer (17$/wire)... you need 10..do the math...its expensive!

The electrical plugs and housings are easy to find on ebay or at a bmw salvage yard, they came on various models throughout the 90's.

However it's not so easy to switch back and forth. I assume you have the sealed headlights, then the low beams are dual filament. Euro headlights use H1 single filament bulbs meaning your low's will turn off when you switch on the high's. To convert it correctly you have to modify the wiring at the fuse box to keep the low's on when you switch on the high's, for proper visibility.

It's a worthwhile upgrade if your willing to do the full conversion, maybe even add a HID kit. Otherwise I would do like deansweet said.

It would be hidden after all.
Hid is great by the way, not to distant future though everybody will be putting in LEDs!

Thanks for the input guys - I bought the wiring and plugs at BMW and I dont want to say how much it cost but it was stupid expensive...

Right now the M3 has no fuel tank,no driveshaft, no rear subframe, no sway bars, no wheels.. Im bending brake lines today and discovered to my sorrow the nine foot brake line which runs to the front (which I need to replace) connector is pretty much inaccessible.. How Im gonna get that brake line undone kept me up half the night... So the headlight conversion will come later.. I cant even tell if there are any bulbs in them.. Ive been so busy getting the M3 up to snuff Im a little overwhelmed!!!
