At the moment my top speed of the quarter mile is 179km/h
and the car is almost at top speed (5th gear and at about 6500rpm ish..)
this is due to the e36 gearbox, the e36 gearbox's have a different set of ratios which
has made the 3.91 diff geared short. If i was still running my e30 gearbox the 3.91 would
be perfect. When on the freeway at about 110km/h the rpm is around 3500rpm from memory...

Plus when i put a shot of nos into the car i will run out of gears before the end
of the quarter mile.

the turbo lag is not really existent. the car pulls away great and comes on boost
very smooth but also very strongly. but there is no real lag.

The LSD is a BMW one, rebuilt but a BMW performance place in Australia.
I don�t know what they did with it, i think just a standard rebuild.
I bought the diff off the shelf when the shop had a sale,
the diff was cheap so i didn�t really ask any questions...

I just needed a pressure plate that would have a lot of clamp force...
the 355 pressure plate matched the flywheel spot on diameter wise.
it was second hand reconditioned so it wasn�t very expensive.

I wanted a clutch that could hold well, I knew I was going to turbo and NOS
the car so I just made it as strong as possible (within money constraints).

how much did this presure plate cost?
and how much were custom forged pistons? I'm debating doing that, or getting the S52 pistons shaved down... (I'm going stroker turbo...)

The pressure plate (second hand, but machined) was about $250-350 Australian dollars
I cant remember exactly because it was over a year ago, and i payed for
everything in one go

The custom forged pistons were $625US and they are made to any specs
I bought them from Top End Performance.

the specs on the turbo im not sure about, if you look up GT2871R
on the Garrett website you will be able to find them.

a little late to the party, but:

This is with a straight through exhaust, no cat, very open (too loud) muffler. And an aFe drop in filter. Everything else stock, in unknown tune. I was super happy with the A/F!

I got the AF graph as well, but I cant find it at the moment. The guy running the dyno said that it was tuned for power from the factory. The A/F was ~13:1 all the way across.

I kind of want to dyno with my current setup (Cams, MarkD chip, and K&N) but I think I'll wait until the stroker is done sometime this summer.

maniac what cams are you runnin? and how do you like them?
