I can hear some grinding at the front passenger side so I suspect I've got a wheel bearing that's going to need replacing soon. I checked the brakes and they are fine .
My car has 187,000 miles on it and was wondering what others got on theirs before the bearings started to fail ? I certainly can't complain with that mileage .
I've seen two different write ups on the replacement and haven't decided which to take yet . The puller method or the slam the wheel in your face method .

I saw this thing on ebay, anyone wondering if would work?

Just so I'm not completely jacking this thread, the guy has puller sets with slide hammers too, if you don't want to slam the wheel in your face.

If it's the front bearings, just buy them from bavauto. They sell wheel bearing replacement kit which is basically the whole hub and the dust cover for $89. No need to press them out or anything.

i believe you can only buy the front bearings as a hub assembly.

You do need a 36 mm socket for the big nut. The rear is a 30 mm.

Hence why i said, "if it's the front bearings"
