FS: $1900, 93 318i with spare m42 in VA
« on: April 15, 2014, 07:14:58 PM »
I have a 1993 BMW 318i approximately 180k miles. Body is in good shape for its age I have done my very best to take care of it. It is a 5 speed manual, tan interior. INTERIOR: typical driver seat is torn in the bucket and small tear on the bolster. Headliner is falling down and there is no headliner material on the moon roof. I have replaced all the interior lights with LED's I have the regular bulbs if you don't like the LED's and want to put regular bulbs back in it. The driver side front door panel has been broken since in got it and I have put clips in it time and time again and it just keeps popping off so its on there just makes noise when you close the door. EXTERIOR: pretty much stock except the headlights and tail lights. I have the original headlights and tail lights that will go with the car when it is sold NOT THE AFTERMARKET HEAD OR TAIL LIGHTS. You cannot open the driver side front door and the passenger side rear door from the outside of the car both the handles broke from inside the door and I haven't had time to fix them both. There is a few small dents on the hood and grill area, nothing major and your typical door dings in the rest of the car. NO VISIBLE RUST very solid car and has had no other body work done to the car. All of the suspension parts have been replaced in the car a year ago including control arms, sway bar bushings, tie rods, sway bar end links, trailing arm bushings, control arm mounts and I have Raceland adjustable coilovers on the car they have been on there for one year now and this is my daily driver I have never abused this car or put it on the track, the only abuse this car has had is verbal abuse. THE MOTOR AND TRANNY: The motor has what we believe to be a blown head gasket and a bad exhaust valve. I have been driving this car like this since last spring/summer (2013) it uses a little bit of coolant but it starts and runs its just a little under powered. I just put a brand new battery in the car about two months ago. The transmission has a two year old clutch, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing and shifts just fine no slipping. The A/C works I was going to order a low pressure discharge line for it since it leaks, once the line is replaced then the A/C works wonderful it will just need a recharging. Everything else with the car is great for the age of the car. I have lots of extra parts including another M42 with unknown miles on it that I was going to rebuild and replace with my other motor. I have a head gasket set for that motor brand new, and a water pump super kit that I got from pelicanparts.com which is all brand new still in the box. I have brand new in box 4 rotors and 4 sets of pads with pad wear sensors and an ABS sensor that I was going to put on the car sometime soon. The tires will last probably all the way into summer this year. I am asking $1900 obo...yes it has all of these issues but it's also coming with a lot of new and extra parts that have recently been bought. nay sir, I would like to get rid of everything. I want out from under this whole thing lol. I just don't have the time nor the money or resources at the moment to work on everything. the car runs, I drive it every day. it starts and runs fine, it's just under powered. I have a full head gasket set, intake set, and water pump super kit that goes with the car and also includes the spare m42. $1800 OBO for ALL of it
